Crack in Late Al-Bishir's Family as Nephew Prepares to Marry his Widow

The seeming crack in the family of late Senator Usman Al-Bishir who died about 4 years ago in a ghastly motor accident,appeared wider in Kaduna at the weekend as an Abuja based lawyer said to be closely related to the deceased was rumored set to marry Al-Bishir's youngest wife.
At a highly packed wedding Fatiha organized in Kaduna near Arewa House which was attended by prominent members of the Al-Bishir's extended family and many academics from the troubled Northeast who had traveled far to celebrate with an Arabic Professor and father of the bride groom,tongues continued to wag against the proposed wedding of the Barrister and the Professor's daughter ,while hush tones from close family members were heard saying though the religion might have nothing against the marriage,the lawyer should have see reason and distanced himself from taking the young widow to the alter because of his closeness to late Al-Bishir.


An impeccable family source confided in newsmen that hard as those against the marriage which was slated for next Friday,tried to discourage the young lady from agreeing to marry her late husband's nephew because of series of allegations already attached to the romantic melo drama,the lady who was also in Kaduna for the wedding was not listening to such calls and was strictly following her heart for reasons yet unknown.

 For instance,concerned family members alleged that since the death of Senator Al-Bishir 4 years ago,his estate and other inheritance were not shared to his close and biological relations as demanded by Islam,even as the prospective groom who was also married and had children with another lady,saw no reason in waiting for the estate to shared among late Al-Bishir's children and wives before he heightened the pace of his romantic adventure.

 According to a family member called Alhaji," we are not against the marriage since our religion has not forbids such,but this lawyer is more like a son to late .Al-Bishir .They are not only related by blood but he grew up under the care of the late Senator,Al-Bishir sponsored his educational pursuit from primary to tertiary level,footed the bill of his first marriage and had never discriminated against him." "

There was a strong allegation that since their meeting during her mandatory Iddah period after her husband's death,the lawyer presented an extraordinary ring to her and since then,she became highly attracted to him and all entreaties and counseling for her to chose another prospective husband,fell on deaf ears."

 "Since the lawyer is the legal adviser to the family in terms of sharing Al-Bishir's estate to close family members left behind,why can't he press for a speedy distribution of the estate estimated to be in trillions to his children and the wives,upset the negligible debt incurred and prayed for the repose of Al-Bishir's soul?"

 "We are truly ,not happy with this proposed marriage because everybody believes their is a hidden motive on the part of the lawyer." Meanwhile,a former military head of state and a close friend of late Al-Bishir,was reported to have placed several calls to senior members of the extended Al-Bishir's family to among others ,ensure that the necessary things as mandated by the religion were done and peace to be restored in the family.

Effort to speak to the widow's relations on the matter remained a Herculean task as they insisted doing so could probably,open the contentious matter to public glare. However,Malam na Nguru ,an elderly family member, disclosed that efforts were still on to frustrate the marriage because they expected the lawyer to still respect Senator Al-Bishir even in death,and avoid seeming allegation that a secret affair between the potential couples might have secretly existed between the love birds even while the Senator was alive.
