Oshiomole picks an Etsako running mate for Obaseki, with the hope Etsako that will have enough votes for APC, nice move, while also thinking that there are some foolish Esan people who will secure votes for him and settle for speakership, a position they never got in seven and half years, even when the zoning suggested it should have been so.
Well, calculations have changed, while in the time past Esan was the decider, until Oshiomole deceived even the Binis and some Esan people to gain overwhelming victory over General Charles, it has returned to the status quo ante. Esan will vote PDP, Esan in Benin will vote PDP, Binis will vote PDP, from Orhiomwon to Iguobazua.
Etsako west already has a PDP representative in the house of assembly, confirmed by the court, and Akoko-Edo is traditionally PDP. Other factors to note is, Okpella and Ibilo, with Oshiomole aiding Dangote to steal their lands, they won’t vote for Godwin, a Dangote candidate.
The church of Christ is solidly behind Ize-Iyamu, a pastor and a social crusader. Other factors to note are the failed promises by APC on state level, that have now been more amplified by their national leaders who are still groping in the dark as the economy sinks lower than even the evil days of Abacha, the lopsidedness of APC national appointment etc. a vote for APC is akin to casting your pearls at swines again!
They have trampled they have trampled on the people’s good will and have turned on them. Who will forget go and die? Political aides of deputy governor Odubu’s sacked at random and the arrest of a park chairmen forcing drivers to part with their PVC before they can work?
Nobody in Bini will be in a hurry to forget the recent storm that submerged vehicles and houses just a few days ago, 100 billion have been spent on Bini storm water control in the past seven years. What of the celebration of multiple billions by street thugs who are now notable people in the society, while pensioners are dying and salaries come in trickles?
Edo missed it over seven years ago, when they decided that a street thug is better than a philosophical king, that a tailor is better than a professor of Law! Now it is time to right the wrong, while Oshiomole pranced about, from one state to another, pretending to be fighting for the right of the people, while he carefully avoided Edo state.
He never achieve anything. He never reduced fuel price and he never fought for Edo workers, being gullible, artesian rallied around him to help him win, then he went after the most of them, while he selected a few to enrich and terrorize the general populace.
A prince of Bini kingdom was slapped by a thug, recently, a local government chairman was slapped right there in the Secretariat, before the Royal palace and the state Assembly and the people of Edo, his only crime was trying to regain his mandate stolen by Oshiomole.
The draconian rule Edo have been subjected in these seven and half years should come to a stop, Ekiadolor and Igueben would like their higher institutions to be at par with the Edo University, built in record time in Iyambo! Esan, Bini and Owan would like to see projects on the ground, projects not struggling to see the light after seven and half years.
While rains have been a major problem with Oshiomole, it hasn’t stopped Edo University, the projects in his village and senatorial district to stopped the building of his own personal empire, right there in Iyambo, decorated with ornate gates, tared roads, artificial hills and ponds.
We have to be wise, we know how he takes projects to Lagos to satisfy Tinubu, we know how furniture contract was given to someone in Lagos, while we pride ourselves to be the best furniture makers in the country, while we have furniture companies lining Akpakpava road through Dawson road to Oluku!
We know how Hitech, Tinubu’s construction company built substandard roads in Benin that have led to flooding and erosion recently, we know how our common wealth have been diverted to Cape Verde, while we only got an elaborate wedding in return.
More importantly is the issue of qualification, with sentiment, we allowed a man without the requisite qualifications to take the helms of affairs in Edo state and look where we are today! It is needless to go into the primary school issue, a result that was issued by a school that was founded four years later.
We have to be wise to know that NLC is a division for lower level workers and artisans in the trade, they are not really endued with any knowledge to lead, instead they employ bellicosity in their aim to get what they want, a governor who has a background in this regard is least qualified to produce a successor, this will be the last nail in the coffin this administration has plunged the state.
Considering what is happening with Buhari and his rudderless government in the center, know that APC is mere propaganda. Oshiomole could not help the state, Buhari is yet to come to terms with the Nigeria, birds of the same plumage, lacking required qualifications, they are still groping in the dark, while the economy of Edo state and Nigeria plummet into a devilish abyss that will require a well thought out economic and social blue print to achieve.
Vote to make Edo state safe again, Pastor Ize-Iyamu has the blueprint, he bent to your wishes over seven years ago to help Oshiomole get to that position, now is the time to listen to him! This have been seven years of famine, only the Pharaoh and his men grew fat. Lets usher in the seven years of fatness again. Years of wisdom, make Edo proud again, in sports, Bendel insurance, Bendel United, in state icons, Edo line, in infrastructure, water board, schools organised markets, sanitation etc.
