Economic Diversification: Nigeriann Institute of Management Set To Kick Start Summit In Kaduna Tomorrow

The North- West Zone of Nigerian Institute of Management(Chartered) has concluded arrangement to
 organizing a Summit for Branches, Chapters, units and the General
 Public
.


The programme of the event according to  Alh. Lawal Kankia Ibrahim
 shows that there will be a tour of NNPC facilities on 17th and the  Summit  is schedule to
 hold on the 18th of August 2016.



Alh. Lawal who is also the Wazirin Kankia said, the Summit is aimed at
 to chatting a course of economic development for the new dispensation.

He added, that the occasion  will take place at the Conference Hall of Dialogue
 Computer Institute in Kaduna.

The chairman disclosed that, the theme of the Summit is “The
 Imperatives of the Change Agenda For Institutional Development In
 Nigeria  and will be presented by Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company( KRPC), Managing
 Director Mallam Idi Muhtar Maiha.

He stated that the Minister of Environment Haj. Amina F. Mohammed will
 present paper on Transforming the Nigerian Economy for sustainable
 development.

He further stated, Dr. Aliyu Mamman is to present a paper on value
 mopping as an active ingredient in transformational leadership and Dr.
 Asma’u Sani Maikudi will present a paper on the challenges of crisis
 management to national development.

According to him, Katsina state Governor Alh. Aminu Bello Masari
 will serve as the Special Guest of honor while Kaduna state Governor
 Mal. Nasir Ahmed El-rufai will serve as host.

Also speaking, the Zonal Chairman of the institute Mrs Rabi Umar
 Sodangi who described the event as timely said,”we want to contribute
 our quota by advising the government on the imperative of  the change
 mantra.”

” For the change mantra of the Government to succeed, we have to
 change our attitude, we need to do away with religious, ethnicity.”
 She said.

According to her,”the change of attitude start from you and I we have
 to be honest and integrity, saying that, even you as  Journalists you
 are a very important agents towards influencing the society for
 attitude   change.”

She stressed the need among some politicians in the country to shun
 money bag politics for the change mantra of the governments to
 effective.

On the economy Hajiya Rabi noted,” we need to have a sound economy
 policy  better than the yearly budget system we are doing for the
 system to be effective in fighting corruption.”

On infrastructural development in the country, The Zonal Chairman
 said,”we will support the governments to achieve that,  but we as the
 stakeholders should involved”.

The Zonal Chairman commended Federal government in general and Kaduna
 state government towards handling the issue of  insecurity.

She applauded federal government effort on    solid mineral sector
 which she said will  very  will boost the country’s   socio- economy
 and in turn, provides job opportunities to many citizens.

Commenting on the Institute Haj Rabi recalled that it was established
 in 1961 and it had been supporting the government since its
 establishment, adding,”we organized leadership programmes in Nigerian
 and even outside Nigerian. Haj Rabi said.
